But as he is, a consistent 810 OPS player is pretty useful, especially since the team is getting good power from many other positions (Reynolds, Upton, hopefully Allen). He didn't get improve from 2007 to 2008 and he'll be 28 shortly after next season begins. He doesn't really have enough power to be an ideal first baseman. That said, maybe he'll be healthy and motivated enough that the DBacks can showcase him for a trade and get something useful for him next year.
