Parra was one of the D'backs top 2 or 3 hitting prospects last year. He did pretty well for a 22 year old who never played AAA. But if they go for a CJackson, CYoung, JUpton outfield, they may prefer Parra to play everyday in AAA rather than be the 4th OF.

How was Parra rated in the organization? Will he start the next season at the major league level?

Another interesting fact about Young's 2009 season is that after stealing 7 bases in June (and not being caught once), he never stole another base all season, going 0 for 2 in attempts. What do you make of that? I guess the hope would be that he develops into a Mike Cameron sort of player, although his defense will never be quite as good as Cameron in his prime. His walk rate actually did get better last year, and if he could go something like .260/.350/.480, along with 20+ steals and good defense, that would be terrific, and I don't think it's completely out of the question. The DBacks should give him until at least June to see if his hot finish will carry over into 2010.
